Open water swimming is an adventurous outdoor activity practiced in natural bodies of water such as the sea, lakes, ponds, and rivers. Finland’s clean and safe waters provide excellent conditions for swimming while also offering swimmers challenging and breathtaking nature experiences.

All swimming styles can be used in open water, but because of waves and visibility, breaststroke and freestyle are the most natural choices. When swimming in open water, it is important to find a good and relaxed swimming position, use a long glide, and maintain an efficient breathing rhythm. Navigation skills and the ability to swim straight contribute to an enjoyable swimming experience.

Summertime I am operating several swim groups in open water for different swim skill levels and also some swimtreks around South of Finland. You can read more of them from my pages. Please don't hesitage to contact me and ask for more.
